Nigeria: Rebuilding the broken Walls

Prophetic Operation Declaration:
Thus says the Lord concerning Nigeria:
“I have seen the broken walls of your land—
Your economy lies in ruins,
Your security is breached,
Your institutions are weakened,
And your people groan within the gates.
I am not blind to your suffering, neither am I deaf to your cries.
But I ask: Who is burdened enough to rebuild?
Who sees beyond position into purpose?
Who will stand when compromise calls louder than conviction?”

1. The Reality: The Walls are Broken
Beloved, let us not deceive ourselves—Nigeria is not merely “challenged”.
Nigeria is broken in structure.
• The economic walls are fractured—wealth without distribution, growth without impact.
• The security walls are torn—citizens live in fear within their own borders.
• The social walls are weakened—trust has eroded, unity is strained.
• The health and institutional walls are collapsing—systems exist, but strength has departed.
As it was written in Nehemiah 1:3: “The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”
But hear this: The greatest tragedy is not that the walls are broken—it is that many have adjusted to the ruins and now call it normal.

2. The Root Cause: Leaders without Burden, Vision, or Integrity God does not rebuild broken walls with titles—
He rebuilds with men and women of burden.
But what do we see in Nigeria?
• Leadership without burden — no genuine pain for the people
• Leadership without vision — no clear path to restoration
• Leadership without competence — activity without results
• Leadership with compromised pasts — vulnerable to manipulation
These are not mere weaknesses—they are national liabilities.
Hear this truth:
A leader who can be blackmailed cannot defend a nation.
A leader who is preserving himself cannotbuild a people.

3. The Danger: Compromise has become National Security Threat
This is where the matter becomes dangerous.
When leaders carry hidden compromises:
• Compromise produces vulnerability
• Vulnerability invites manipulation
• Manipulation controls decisions
• Controlled decisions destroy nations
Thus, Nigeria is not only suffering from bad leadership—it is suffering from captured leadership.
Decisions are no longer made for the people—they are negotiated under pressure.
Policies are no longer shaped by vision—they are dictated by fear of exposure.
Agreements are no longer entered from strength—they are signed from weakness.
And so, sovereignty is not lost suddenly—it is traded gradually.
4. The Condition: Leadership of Self-Preservation (“EMI L’OKAN”)
What we now see is leadership driven by personal survival, not national revival.
The cry has become: “Emi l’okan” — It is my turn.
But leadership is not “my turn”—leadership is God’s trust.
When “my turn” replaces “God’s purpose, "nation-building dies.
Governance has become:
• A platform for self-protection
• A system of mutual compromise
• A network of shared silence
And so, the nation suffers while leaders negotiate their own safety.
As the proverb says: “Bi eniyan ba di kokoro si idi, ko gbodo pe adie ki won ma yọ̀ ọ́.”
(If a man ties corns to his buttocks, he cannot forbid hens from pecking.)
This is self-inflicted vulnerability.
You cannot live exposed and expect protection.
You cannot be compromised and expect strength.

5. The Model: Nehemiah — The Contrast to our Times
God’s answer to broken walls is not policies first—it is people first.
Nehemiah reveals what true leadership looks like:
a. He Carried a Burden (Nehemiah 1:4)
“I sat down and wept…”
While many today celebrate power,
Nehemiah mourned responsibility.
b. He Sought God Before Strategy (Nehemiah 1:5–11)
While many consult alliances,
Nehemiah sought God.
c. He Had a Clear Vision (Nehemiah 2:5)
“Send me… that I may rebuild it.”
Not “it is my turn”—
but “send me for Your purpose.”
d. He Was Uncompromised (Nehemiah 6:3)
“I am doing a great work, so I cannot come down.”
He could not be:
• Distracted
• Manipulated
• Bought
• Silenced

6. The Call: God is still seeking Rebuilders
Nigeria will not be rebuilt by:
• The most connected
• The most powerful
• The most popular
But by those who are:
• Burdened — they feel the pain of the people
• Vision-driven — they see beyond the present
• Uncompromised — they cannot be controlled
• Selfless — they seek purpose, not power

7. Prophetic warning to Leaders (Executive, Legislature, Judiciary) Hear the Word of the Lord:
Woe to every leader who sits in office without burden—you are not governing; you are wasting destiny.
Woe to those who lead with hidden compromises—you are not protecting the nation; you are exposing it.
Woe to those who trade national decisions for personal safety—you are not surviving; you are betraying a generation.
And hear this final warning: If you refuse to change, God will not negotiate with your position—
He will remove it.
For the Lord will not allow a nation to remain perpetually in the hands of compromised men.

8. The Hope: The Walls shall rise again
Despite the ruins, God still speaks:
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places…” — Isaiah 58:12.
Rebuilding is not a dream—it is a divine possibility.
When the right people arise:
• The economy will be restored
• Security will be strengthened
• Institutions will be rebuilt
• Trust will return

9. Call to Action: From National cry to Persona Responsibility
This message is not just for “leaders”—it is for us all.
Before national transformation, there must be personal alignment:
• Become a person of burden — feel deeply
• Develop vision — see clearly
• Build integrity — stand clean
• Commit to purpose — live selflessly
For God does not import rebuilders—He raises them from among the people.

Closing Prophetic Declaration:
Thus says the Lord:
“I am raising a generation in Nigeria—
Not addicted to power,
Not enslaved by compromise,
Not driven by selfish gain.
They will carry My burden,
They will walk in integrity,
They will rebuild the broken walls.
And Nigeria shall rise again—
Not by noise,
Not by empty politics,
But by righteous leadership.”

Final Word:
The walls are broken—yes.
But hear this:
God has not abandoned Nigeria—He is waiting for rebuilders.
So, the question remains:
Who will rise?
